    Born in Canada, Ally McIntyre is a contemporary artist whose practice is defined by large-scale, expressive works that combine personal narrative with a playful, often irreverent sensibility. Working across painting, drawing, and printmaking, she creates bold compositions that balance emotional complexity with humor and immediacy.McIntyre graduated in Painting and Sculpture from the University of Alberta in 2013 before completing an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2015. During this period, she received the Jealous Prize 2014/15 and was awarded the HIX Award in 2015, presented by Tracey Emin and Mark Hix.Her work has been exhibited internationally, including solo presentations at Jealous Gallery and CnB Gallery, as well as appearances at Moniker Art Fair, the London Original Print Fair at the Royal Academy of Arts, London Art Fair, START Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, and Art Toronto. In 2021, her work was included in the group exhibition Right Here, Right Now at Saatchi Gallery in London.McIntyre’s print Moon Cries for Ferdinand is held in the permanent print collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. In 2018, she was also selected as a finalist for the RBC Canadian Painting Competition.Her work is held in private collections across Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
