Ann Craven

Ann Craven lives and works in New York City. Her recent solo exhibitions include major shows at venues such as Le Confort Moderne, Poitiers, France; Maccarone, New York; Southard Reid, London; and Galerie Forsblom, Helsinki, among others. In 2008, Craven’s solo exhibition Shadows Moon at FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, Reims, France, was accompanied by the publication of her monograph Shadows Moon and Abstract Lies. Karma and Maccarone also published Ann Craven: Pensée, an artist book featuring her 92 watercolor pansy paintings from a 2007-2008 residency at FRAC Champagne-Ardenne. Craven has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Island at The Dairy, London, The Cat Show at White Columns, New York, and The Spirit Level at Gladstone Gallery, New York. Her work was featured in Art in America’s June/July 2013 Portfolio, where she presented recent Tree and Moon paintings. Her works are in prominent public collections such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, MoMA, New Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
