Diana Al-Hadid creates visually striking and conceptually rich sculptures, wall panels, and drawings inspired by art, architecture, mythology, and literature. Her work explores themes of transformation, dissipation, and renewal, often reimagining the portrayal of the female body in ways that challenge male-dominated narratives. Al-Hadid’s pieces reflect on the concept of sublimation, as defined by Freud, transforming negative impulses into positive expressions. She holds a BFA from Kent State University and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her works are in major collections worldwide, and she is represented by Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York.
