Kerry Darlington is a Welsh contemporary artist best known for her richly layered, resin-finished paintings that blend fairy-tale imagination with technical mastery. Born in 1974 in Rhyl, North Wales, she studied Illustration with a focus on classic storybook art, deeply inspired by Arthur Rackham, Edmund Dulac, and the aesthetics of the Pre-Raphaelites and Art Nouveau. After working in South America and later as a mural designer in the UK, Darlington developed a unique painting technique using acrylics, metallics, and hand-poured resin on wood panels. Her artworks are known for their vivid storytelling and recurring motifs of trees, myths, and magical landscapes. In the mid-2000s, she introduced her “Unique Editions”—limited-edition prints individually embellished with texture, metallic highlights, and resin—pioneering a format that helped redefine the collectible art print market. With bestselling series inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and The Magic Faraway Tree, she quickly became one of the UK's most collected published artists. Recognized twice by the Fine Art Trade Guild as Best-Selling Published Artist, Darlington continues to work from her studio in North Wales, producing both original works and editions that reflect her deep love of nature, literature, and fantasy.
