Bojórquez draws inspiration from his birthplace, where he grew up and continues to reside. He received formal art training at the Guadalajara University of Art in Mexico, as well as at California State University and the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. Before dedicating himself fully to painting, Bojórquez worked as a commercial artist in advertising and film, gaining valuable experience that informs his artistic practice.
