Hernan Bas (b. 1978, Miami) is a Miami-based painter whose atmospheric narratives draw on Romantic and Decadent literature, myth and the paranormal to depict youthful protagonists in liminal interiors and landscapes. His practice spans painting, works on paper, video and installation, and has been widely exhibited in the US and Europe.
