Anthony Cudahy is a Brooklyn-based figurative painter whose intimate, luminous works explore themes of vulnerability, romance, and queer histories. His paintings, often inspired by personal images, art history, and his own collection, are noted for their fluid brushstrokes and phosphorescent quality. Alongside painting, Cudahy creates detailed colored pencil drawings. His art reinterprets the past, bringing forgotten histories into the present. Recent solo exhibitions include Spinneret at the Ogunquit Museum of American Art and Conversation at the Museum of Fine Arts in Dole, France. Cudahy’s work is held in several notable public collections.
