Arbor is an American graffiti writer associated with the Baltimore and New York graffiti scenes. He began writing in Baltimore in 1992 and relocated to New York during the late 1990s. After stepping away from graffiti around 2000, he returned to the practice in 2014. His work is distinguished by an emphasis on original lettering, expressive tags, carefully selected locations, and the continuous development of style.Drawing inspiration from the distinctive handstyles of Baltimore as well as graffiti traditions in New York, San Francisco, and Paris, Arbor approaches writing as an evolving urban art form rooted in history, experimentation, and authenticity. In 2022, he collaborated with Revs and XSoup on Life’s a Mission Then You’re Dead, a self-published, 510-page oral history preserving the experiences and perspectives of more than 100 New York graffiti writers.
