Faye Wei Wei’s paintings are ethereal and poetic, weaving together symbolic reveries and mythological imagery. Working on large-scale canvases, she blends soft pastels with subdued earth tones to create a distinctive feminine iconography inspired by folklore and art history. Her dreamlike compositions delve into the emotional and psychological dimensions of love, identity, and gender, while also addressing broader social narratives. A graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, Wei Wei has exhibited internationally in cities including London, New York, Los Angeles, Athens, Vienna, Shanghai, and Antwerp. In 2019, she was commissioned by the British Council in Hong Kong, in partnership with Phillips auction house. Her work is held in private and institutional collections in London.
