, b. 1962
From a young age, he was passionate about drawing, but his academic results were modest, leading him to retail jobs after school. At 21, with encouragement from his father, a successful painter, he reignited his interest in art by replicating Victorian landscapes. His early work quickly gained traction, and by 1997, he became a full-time painter. His breakthrough came in 1999 with a publishing contract from Washington Green Fine Art, leading to numerous exhibitions and accolades, including ‘Best Up and Coming Artist’ and ‘Best Selling Published Artist’. His 2004 sell-out exhibition at the Halcyon Gallery and the release of his book, ‘Atmospheres,’ marked significant milestones. Influenced by masters like Turner and Wyeth, he focuses on capturing the essence of landscapes, particularly the East Anglian scenery, and continues to refine his technique and explore new subjects.
