Xsoup

XSoup is a New York graffiti writer and artist associated with the city’s underground writing culture. Maintaining a deliberately low public profile, he has developed a practice rooted in anonymity, street-level intervention, and the independent traditions of graffiti. His work has appeared throughout New York, including the Lower East Side, and he is recognized within the writing community for his authentic connection to the city’s urban landscape.In 2022, XSoup collaborated with Revs and Arbor on Life’s a Mission Then You’re Dead, a self-published, 510-page oral history featuring personal accounts from more than 100 New York graffiti writers. The publication preserves firsthand stories, memories, and perspectives from a culture whose history has often been transmitted informally. Through both his street practice and documentary work, XSoup contributes to the preservation and continuing development of New York graffiti culture.
