Young Lee is a Korean-born, U.S.-based painter whose work blends whimsical imagination with a subtly dark undercurrent. Originally trained in architectural graphic design, Lee transitioned to fine art after discovering a deep creative calling—one that quickly evolved into a signature style defined by surreal, cartoon-like characters in dreamlike, often eerie settings. She earned her MFA from the New York Academy of Art in 2020. Recent exhibitions include Harmonious Arrangement at Half Gallery (Los Angeles), shows at Villazan Gallery (Madrid), and participation in Frieze New York with Half Gallery. Lee currently splits her time between Jersey City, NJ, and Atlanta, GA.
