Bob Dylan (legally Robert Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter. Often regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture during a career spanning more than 60 years. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" (1964) became anthems for the civil rights and antiwar movements. His lyrics during this period incorporated a range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences, defying pop music conventions and appealing to the burgeoning counterculture.

Bob Dylan was born Robert Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1941, and in the early 1960s, he exploded onto the Folk music scene. While the world was wondering what his lyrics meant, Dylan's world was rich with sketching, drawing, and painting, and it is known that he was looking, observing, and creating.

Dylan first gained acclaim in visual art in 2007, with the _Drawn Blank_ series, a rebirth of bright colours of drawings he did in the 1980s, but before this all, he was already over three decades solidifying his visual art prowess and reputation. And he continues to do so, with major opening exhibitions at the Halcyon Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery in London and others.

His work continues to evolve in watercolours, acrylics, sculpture, welded iron gates, and many more, which makes Bob Dylan one of the more dynamic and engaging cross-disciplinary artists of our time.
