About the artist

Sean is one of those few artists who can compellingly address a broad range of issues, from the social and cultural through to the economic, without losing his audience. Through an honest and unapologetic approach to his practice, he creates striking multi-narrative works that spotlight the issues of today by engaging with imagery from the past. His paintings often aim to create a forced set of priorities and questions using intentional pairing/placing, drawing from his career in advertising to evoke ad-world visual immediacy.

Mirror, a duo exhibition of collaborative and individual paintings, will be on view at Glass Rice from November 4 - 25, 2023.
