About the artist
Hayley’s paintings are a compelling blend of realism, surrealism and symbolic imagery, intertwining elements from the artist’s Chinese heritage with personal symbols from her own life. The series ‘Periphery as Core’ is a great example of this. Hayley’s work transcends time and place, documenting the ever-changing relationship between her body and surroundings. By overlaying images and breaking the illusion of direct representation, she delves into the mythologies we create to infuse life with meaning and charm.
Having won The Artist Project's 2024 Untapped People’s Choice Award, the latest news from the artist is of an upcoming fall show, and we couldn’t be more excited!
