5 Shows To Get Excited About This Spring

It can be challenging to stay informed about, and keep track of, upcoming exhibitions. That’s why we’ve put together a list of five exhibitions we definitely won’t be missing this spring!

Steven Harrington: Stay Mello

Amorepacific Museum of Art, Seoul (March 7 - July 14)

Steven Harrington is holding his first-ever solo museum exhibition at Amorepacific Museum of Art. The show will feature hundreds of works along with new large, mural-sized paintings on canvas — including Harrington’s largest canvas painting to date. This isn’t one to miss!

Emma Stern: Everything Looks Like A Nail (To A Hammer)

Pond Society, Shanghai (March 9 - April 26)

Emma Stern is set to make her museum debut in Asia with her upcoming solo exhibition at the Pond Society. Embracing what is uncomfortable, humorous, and subversive, Stern achieves a distinct visual language that challenges representations of women in 3D communities and gaming culture.

Anna Park: Look, look. Anna park

AGWA, Perth (April 20 - September 8)

Anna Park is coming to the Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) to present her first museum solo exhibition outside of the U.S. Well known for her richly detailed works on paper that straddle the lines between figuration and abstraction, Park’s latest presentation incorporates collage and cut-out techniques to capture the spirit of contemporary life - a true ode to today’s zeitgeist.

Jenny Holzer: Light Line

Guggenheim Museum, New York (May 17 - September 29)

This exhibition will reimagine Jenny Holzer’s iconic 1989 installation at the Guggenheim. The site-specific work will transform the entirety of the rotunda with a display of scrolling texts, building upon the artist’s vision from thirty-five years earlier. New texts will demonstrate more recent language-generation experimentations with AI.

OSGEMEOS: Endless Story

Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C. (May 18 - July 6)

The Hirshhorn Museum will present the first US museum survey and largest US exhibition of work by OSGEMEOS. Large-scale paintings on wood and canvas, monumental sculptures, and room-sized installations will take over the museum’s third-floor galleries and showcase the Portuguese duo’s origin story.
